 Bible Study

Lectio Divina means "divine reading" and is a form of Bible study that includes lectio (reading), meditatio (meditation), contemplatio (contemplation), and oratio (prayer).  Our group meets every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in the Library.  It's a great preparation for Sunday Mass.  For more information, contact our Lector coordinator, Venny Villapando, 845-3381 or our Cathedral Office at 521-1700.

Small Groups/Bringing Home The Word

Small Groups/Bringing Home The Word

All of our parishioners are encouraged to join or start a small faith-sharing group with family, friends, classmates or co-workers.  Our small groups meet off campus and they discuss the Sunday Scriptures. We provide great resources to guide the discussion and training for leaders. If you would like to join a group, or start your own, please contact the Coordinator, Lucy Quisano at 265-3648, or the Cathedral Office for more information.

First Reconciliation & First Communion for Children

First Reconciliation & First Communion for Children

Children are prepared for First Reconciliation and First Communion in the 2nd Grade concurrent with their Sunday Faith First classes or through their Catholic school.  Two family workshops are scheduled in the spring in preparation for celebrating the sacraments.  For more information, contact our Cathedral Office, 521-1700.

Confirmation/LIFE TEEN

Confirmation/LIFE TEEN

High school students are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation during their freshmen and sophmore years by participating in our LIFE TEEN program for two consecutive years.  LIFE TEEN is open to all high school students grades 9-12 and meets every Sunday (Sept.-May) for Mass at 6 p.m. followed by a LIFE NIGHT that includes a light supper, discussion, prayer and worship. For more information, contact Father Jon at 521-1700.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

RCIA is the formation process for those who are not baptized and are interested in becoming Catholic.  The RCIA group meets weekly on Wednesday evenings (Sept. - May) in the Library in preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) at the Great Vigil of Easter.  Weekly sessions include study, discussion, and prayer.  For more information, contact our Cathedral Office at 521-1700.

Awakening Faith

Awakening Faith is a program for adults who have been away from the Church for whatever reason and now desire to renew their relationship.  The course is designed to review our Catholic beliefs and practices and to explore one's spirituality.  Awakening Faith is also our preparation for those baptized non-Catholics who desire to come into Full Communion with the Catholic Church and adult Catholics who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
