Dear families and friends of the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa Church,

Greetings to you with the comforting words of the psalm, "our soul waits for the LORD, he is our help and shield. For in him our hearts rejoice; in his holy name, we trust.  May your mercy, LORD, be upon us; as we put our hope in you" (Psalm 33:20-22).

As we are all aware that the Governor Ige has ordered a stay-at-home lockdown until April 30 in order to stem the effects of the coronavirus virus pandemic. I anticipate that many of you may have questions concerning the Holy Week and Easter celebrations and on how you and your family celebrate and participate in the Sacred Liturgy of the Church. I share with you the attached current Memorandum from Bishop Larry Silva. It is the updated General Directives and Liturgical Guidelines due to the COID-19 pandemic.

I am also letting you know that following the Memorandum of  Bishop Larry and the directive from Governor, we are temporarily closing the church and the adoration chapel effective March 27 until April 30.

Also, many of you may have already known that we are offering Masses every day through live streaming. We will continue offering the weekday Mass which starts at 7:00 AM and Sunday Mass at 10:00 AM.   You can watch this live streaming through this link - www.facebook.com/hicocathedral. On the there hand, the celebration of the Sacred Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, & easter Vigil), which will be celebrated without the congregation,  will be held at the Basilica of the Cathedral of our Lady of Peace. Bishop Larry will preside.

Kindly read the details in the attachment and share them with those in our Catholic families.

Please be safe and stay healthy!

God bless you.

Fr. Manny Hewe
Pastor
