Forever Young

Forever Young

Forever Young is a ministry in the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa. It began with Sister Kathleen Marie Shields, CSJ. Presently, the coordinator is Sister Ann Faber Chang, CSJ.

The program was initiated to minister to the seniors, 55 and over. This way, seniors are involved and keep an active interest in the parish by meeting others, fostering companionship, and in general, having an enjoyable life, socially and spiritually.

This also helps the seniors to remember that “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life” (Proverbs 16:32) and “Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young.” (Benjamin Franklin)

The group meets every other month, beginning on September 14, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the parish hall. The morning begins with prayer and sometimes tai chi, a speaker, lunch, and followed by bingo. There is no charge for participation. In gratitude for enjoyable fun and friendship, some will bring free-will donations, which are always welcomed.

It is only through the generosity, support, and encouragement of the pastor, Rev. Fr. Gregorio Honorio, Jr., that this program continues to be made possible. The seniors are forever grateful to Father Greg.

A spiritual lei of prayers truly connects parishioners, young, middle-aged, and elderly in this wonderful parish ministry. For more information, please call Sr. Ann Faber 533-310
